ChristineN is doing her BSN at Chatham:

I am doing Chatham. I started in January, and will be graduating next month. It is expensive, as has been stated, but I choose it for convinience as well as the time factor. They have three classes that have a clinical component, other than that, it's all on-line. I am starting my last semester this week actually (they are seven week accelerated semesters). In order to get done in eight months you need to take 2 classes every 7 weeks for a total of 8 classes.
Let me know any other questions you may have about the program.
I looked at this school and was very excited about the 8 classes until upon further reading you had to have a total of 45 hours from Chatham to graduate from there.
CRTtoRN, while the nursing classes only consist of 26 credits, Chatham does look at the classes you transfer from your diploma program. I took 8 classes, period. No gen eds pre req's or co req's, which is what made Chatham more affordable than other programs out there.
Really? I would love that but here is what I read:
Transfer Credits
Students may transfer up to 75 credit hours of college level courses into the program. All requests for transfer credit must be made prior to enrollment. A minimum of 45 credits, including the 26 credits of core requirements, must be taken at Chatham University.
So you think you can get by with just the 8 classes? I have Associate of Science in Nursing. That would be GREAT if I can just do that.

I am taking my last two (of eight) classes now. So yes, it can be done. My advice, if you are interested in Chatham, speak to someone in their admissions department. They may need to see a copy of your transcript before they can say for sure.
Let me know if you have any other questions about Chatham?
