Changing states

Hi there. So, I am an RN in California and am planning to move to Utah. Google isn't my friend when it comes to finding how to get a Utah rn license if I already have a CA license.

Anyone know how to do it?

Is there a simple site I am missing?

Thanks!

What terminology are you using? A simple search for Utah nursing license by endorsement brought this up as the second result- the UT BON webpage was the first.

I endorsed my license to Utah, its very easy and straight forward. Visit the Utah board of nursing website. You'll need finger prints, pay the fee, fill application, and get license verification from CA to UT.

Thanks so much!

How long does it take?

Once all documents were turned in, i got my license in less than a week! Seriously. I mailed everything in on like a Thursday and come Tuesday of the following week, so like 4/5 days, I got my license.

It takes 8 weeks for california to verify? That's ridiculous. That sucks :(

I am guessing they didn't know to use the term "endorsement"

Some states if it is going to take a bit to process the request will issue a temporary license good for like 2 months depending on the state. I had to do this in Wyoming and NC. So I was issued a Temp. one and my Perm. one ended up being done like a week later.
