Hi,I start Nursing School in less than 3 weeks. When I finish the program, I will have my ASN and from there I will transfer school to get my BSN. My only problem is..I think I want to be a surgeon instead of. Nurse. My plan is to still enroll this semester, but is it worth the money and time, when I should be focusing on something else? It is wise to keep my Nursing Degree so I can always "fall back" on something? Do school prefer RNs, or non RNs? I'm just not sure what to do

Yea I would dive into pre-reqs for medical school. Both are really different. I understand your concept but it would take a lot of time to do what your proposing. Good Luck with whatever you decide

Do you already have a BA or BS degree? If not then you need to go to a 4-year undergrad that has a premedical program. Four years of premedical undergrad, then apply to medical schools, four years of medical school, then four years of residency.
What made you change your mind?
