Your school is incorrect. They have to send the documents to CGFNS.

Take them a copy of the handbook. It also states that fact right on the form that they need to fill in and sign.

You are responsible for sending in the application, the pictures, and payment.

Your nursing board is repsonsible for sending in verification of your license, and your nursing school for the school materials.

All documents must be recieved by that cut-off date in Philadelphia.

But why are you even taking the exam? Most states no longer require it, or you can endorse over from another state. About the only two that come mind right away are MI and IL. Any place else, save yourself the 6 months of waiting time.

Can the TN visa be issued without actually completing the nclex or the CGFNS exam first. Will your application be assessed without either of the two. I was under the impression that inorder to receive a TN visa you must have taken the Nclex or the exam issued by CGFNS in order to get a TN visa. Am I wrong? : :uhoh3:

You must have a Visa Screen Certificate to get a TN Visa after the end of this month. You will also need to show the Visa Screen Certificate to reenter the US. A requirement of the TN Visa is to pass either CGFNS exam or NCLEX exam, plus the English exams, if you are not exempt.

Some schools here in the Philippines will only fill up the form but it is the applicant who will send it to CGFNS. That happened to me, be sure you get a mailer envelope with the school seal on it. I think one reason schools don't like to send the forms to CGFNS because it is an extra load on them. Frankly, lazy staff. :p

Some schools doesn't even have a post office in their campus.

I don't know your nationality but if you are a Filipino then I don't need to explain why. I hope you gonna make it. :)

Take a courier service envelope to them, and let them put the sealed envelope in there for you.....................then you just give it to the courier service..................that way the school isn't paying for it.
