CGFNS-CVS for NY State:missing documents

i'm still having problem with my CGFNS CVS-NY, until now the status of my license is "received but not accepted". i graduated as BSN (4 years) and passed my licensure exam,and my license here in Phils. is still active and no offense made. i kept calling our licensing office if they received any follow-up requests from CGFNS, but according with them, none so far. the first/last request from CGFNS received by our licensing office dated 6/04. i asked my agent at NY, the only thing she advised was to wait. it's been 5 months since this situation occured. it's like a lifetime waiting for CVS-NY.

btw,just this morning ichecked my status and it stated that VERIFICATION PROGRAM- NY VERIFICATION - status - READY FOR SUBMISSION. (what does it mean? )

suzanne4, here's the added info, CGFNS sent correspondence: NEW YORK NOTIFICATION - #2 via standard ground mail to our licensing authority last 7/04 and the NEW YORK NOTIFICATION - FINAL last 10/04. i made follow-up calls, all the time. but the only answer i received was "no letters from CGFNS"

what must i do. any suggestions?

Hi! If you're having problems with your transcript, my suggestion would be to go to your school and ask them about it. My school received the transcript validation from CGFNS a month after it was paid. It wouldn't hurt to check it with your school. I hounded the Dean of Nursing and her secretary in my school every week. Unfortunately, my school took forever to send it back to CGNFS. But all in all, my NY-CVS was completed in less than 3 months.

The status of my transcript validation form for my CGFNS-CVS for NY STATE is still "waiting to be received".It has been almost 2 months since I sent my application to CGFNS.I called CGFNS and I was told they will wait after 60 days from the date they sent the first mail before they will send another request form to my school. Is it possible for me to go to my school and make the request myself? CGFNS is talking about sending another request in December 18....that is too long!! Please advise. I really really appreciate all the info I get from allnurses.com guys...Thank you very much!!

CGFNS mailed three validation forms to my nursing school. But none of them was received. I guess they were returned back to CGFNS. Because the teacher in charge of letters said no concrete receiver and no concrete mailbox number is rejected. I bought her foods. She promised me sweetly. But due to legal issues, she never keeps CGFNS letters for me. Chinese nursing school has no enthusiasm to cooperate a student. The teachers are very cold. Did CGFNS really mail money to my nursing school? For which function?

hi presC. I'll be taking the NCLEX in March or April of this year as per the immigration lawyer. They haven't paid for it yet. I received a letter from NY-ED 2nd week of January asking for the payment. With regards to the child abuse course, I was told that I can just sign a waiver stating that I will not be taking care of children so I won't be taking the course. I'm not sure though if that's what I'm supposed to do. How about you? Have you taken the NCLEX?

Allnurses.com really helped me a lot in terms of my questions. It's so nice to be able to communicate with nurses not only from the Philippines but from other countries as well. Hope to hear from you again. :)

i took the child abuse course because i was required by my agent to complete that exam. can't give you correct info why your agency didn't require you to take one. for sure, suzanne4 can help us with this matter.

regarding nclex, probably will have same month in taking the exam. i recently passed my application nurse form 1 in albany, attached there's my child abuse cert and the payment.

truly, allnurses' a big help and such a great place to stay.:)

Hi PresC... Hmm... I think I should talk to my lawyer again regarding the child abuse course. Regarding NCLEX, it would be nice if we have the same date in taking the exam... Where are you going to take it? Saipan or Guam? let's keep in touch ok? :)
