My employer in N.J. has provided free access to "ce direct" thru Nursing Spectrum.com. I noticed that in the ce offerings there is a group of "Florida Requirement" courses for license renewal. I did a couple of them and found them pretty quick and easy. At the end, when you pass, they provide a certificate that can be printed, and it says they automatically send the results to the Florida Board. BTW, you can join as an individual for $25 for unlimited CEU's for a year. Don't know that I would pay it if there were other options, but since it was free I took advantage...
Does anybody know for sure if this a reliable way to meet the requirements? Is this the same as the CE Broker?

There is a list of approved ce providers on the florida website but it is in excel and I don't have that program. I have been trying to get the list so that I could do the 3 areas I need to apply for a florida license by endorsement. Anyone have any suggestions? TIA Ginger in FL

There are plenty of CE providers in Florida that you can use for CE for endorsement. I would recommend a goggle search for Florida CE Providers. There is MedCeu, CE Broker, and several other very good ones. I think with one of them, perhaps its MedCEU, you get a year's worth of CE credits for a reasonable price. Check it out. But, please be careful ... some of the CE online programs get you stuck when you use a credit card ... Sometimes it is almost impossible to get out of the arrangement at the end of the year and they end up billing your credit card. Good luck.

I took the Florida requirements at Nursing Spectrum. They are an authorized Florida Provider. However, I think there was a different link to follow if you are already a member of CE Broker. I'm not sure they automatically sent them to CE broker. But I'm not a member so I can't check CE Broker to be sure. Save those certificates.
Best rest assured they are good CEUs for your Florida License. :)
Thanks for the info Tweety and Patrick. Gdeppe - I can't find that list you are referring to. When I click on the link for CE providers, it takes me to the CEbroker.com
I do have excel could cut and paste it into a word doc for you - can you tell me just where it is on the site?
I actually went back to the FL DOH web site and could not fine that list again. I did down load it the first time I found it, but like I said, I can't access it. But I went to the CE Broker site and signed up (for free) to access their list of approved providers and saw that Nursing Spectrum (mentioned above) was listed, so that's who I am going to use for my original 3 required CEU to get my original LPN license by endorsement. If I find anything esle, I will post it.

I have been looking in to going to Florida as a travel nurse. I have the BON application in front of me at this moment. It allows one to waive the CE requirements for 6 months for cause. Reading through the information the dont expect you to take the classes until you get to Florida, unless it is going to take you longer than six months to get there.
