CES question

hi, i finally received my ces and have some questions - sorry if this is a really dumb question, but i can't quite believe what i am reading after waiting so long for it!

regarding my bachelor of nursing degree it says: "comparable to completion of a first-level general (registered) nursing diploma program in the united states".

regarding my grad dip in critical care it says: "there is no comparable program of training in the united states".

the final page says: "this report reflects the general compatibility of foreign credentials to us credentials, and is not intended to denote exact equivalence".

so... does this mean i am okay to go ahead and apply to the state board for nclex, since it does not recommend additional studies?

As far as I understand it, the CES is for healthcare education. I think I did have to submit a copy of my high school diploma, but it's not assessed. Check the CGFNS website as to what is required when you submit the application, it is all listed.

CES is an evaluation on your schooling and nurse training. Each BON has theire own requirements so best bet would be to submit it to your BON and see what happens

Thanks for the response! I guess you were right again about not organizing extra pediatric stuff and worrying about it until the report came in

Do you have any idea of the time I should expect to get the following finished?

- Receive ATT from Vermont BON once submitting application

- Sit NCLEX (can do it here in Sydney)

- Get Visa Screen (all submitted, just waiting for NCLEX results now) approved

- Receive permanent residency once hospital applies to sponsor?

Thanks - it's just that a job has come up in the US and I would like to be able to give the employer an idea how long it will take until I am physically able to start work.
