Riosrussell this was my second time applying. This was a higher round than last. Don’t give up and try again Feb! You got this!

riosrussell, don't loose hope! Sometimes people don't pass background or just decide to drop. There is still a chance! ? Maybe look into getting CNA license? It gives a 12 point advantage

This was my second time applying. I wish I didn't let CNA license lapse. I think the Feb cycle requires a CNA license. But I'm happy for everyone that got in! You all will be successful!

Definitely! Some ppl may not finish their stuff in time an you may have a chance. I was staying to get my CNA in time but unfortunately the last thing I had to do got moved two weeks passed the deadline.

I didn’t get in either! Points were much higher this time, which makes me think the applicant pool wasn’t as small as they thought. I’m pretty bummed.

OK

Hey all, I’m new to this site, and not 100% sure how this works!  I’m hoping to get some info from students in the ccri ADN program.  I’m going to apply in February answer wondered what people thought about the different campuses.  If I get in, I’ll be living in southern RI, and so I was thinking Newport or Warwick.  Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi Turtle! I just started on Tuesday ? I signed up for providence but all of our labs are in the Lincoln campus for everyone due to covid. I’d say you can pick either one! If things stay the same you will be there anyway LOL good luck!! And it’s so exciting! Things can change anytime ?

Awesome!  Congrats ItsNae!  That must be so exciting!  I guess that makes sense about all the labs being in one place at the mo.  Hopefully by next September things will be more normal, but who knows?

Do you know anyone that is going to the Newport campus?  I’m pretty familiar with the Warwick campus, but don’t know much about Newport.  Seems small, so I just wondered if they had smaller class sizes or anything.  Someone also said that Newport classes were a little later in the day, but they didn’t specify what that meant.  Anywhoo, thanks for the input, and if you’ve got any more, I’m all ears!

Thank you I appreciate it! As for class size, they allow a certain amount for each campus so the sizes are roughly the same. If you go on the ccri nursing facebook page (you have to get accepted to the page) they have so much information from ppl. Some who are applying just like you are on there! Our lectures are online and mine are 8:30-12:30 for my fundementals then the next day my pharm class is 8:30-9:25, then gerontology 10-12. Then on Friday I have lab from 9-1 in Lincoln Bc we al go there and then that will change to a clinical site from 7-3.  For the Newport campus it seemed like some classes started at 11 or 11:30 so more towards the afternoon. I heard that campus is beautiful though. What I did was go online and check the classes for the campus you want on the add classes area so then you can see roughly what the times would be. And I love talking too so I’m here! If you go to the facebook page let me know!

Thanks ItsNae!  LOL, I was literally just combing through previous semesters’ schedules at ccri to figure out the class sizes and times for the diff campuses!  Thanks for the heads up about but the facebook group too.  I abandoned fb years ago, and swore I wouldn’t give the Zuck any more of my soul, so I don’t think I’ll be able to take advantage of that one.  ?

Hahahaha you are just like me!!! I told myself I’d never go back an deactivated mine 7 years ago! ? I made a separate account as private as I could! I even put in the title “school account only” because I wanted no part of it! Al I want is randomn info LOL I’m trying to fly under the radar ans so far I’m pretty good (don’t even have my full name on there). My providence campus is split into 4 sections and in the groups for lab is 7-8 students each. But for lecture it’s everyone online at the time.
