2014 CCP Nursing Program

I figured I would start this topic to lower my anxiety just a little. I took the health allied test today and I have to wait till next week to get my scores. I really feel like im on pins and needles right now and I know I'll be a nervous wreck when I actually wait for my acceptance. Before I even got started on my journey to be a nurse I came across this website and It really answered a lot of questions about the application process, and was insightful in other areas of nursing that enabled me to think of more questions for answering. what I really love the most was that in previous years ccp applicants supported each other during the nerve wrecking waiting period on getting accepted. that support was so tremendous that a lot of the applicants bonded and became friends. Is there anyone else that has applied for the 2014 CCP program?

I read from CCP 2013 thread the tuition was like 1300-1500. The books cost like more than 1000 - if you can get it cheaper..GREAT!- the uniforms cost like 200-400.

Thanks. That's good. I was wondering if there were additional charges for the zero credit classes.

@Aleia

I also got in the program with 6 pts.

Hey guys what is the minimum passing score for the nursing courses?..is it 70 or 75 ?

Wow really??!! I asked my friend and she said that her status did not change yet. I told her not to lose hope since I know people (you and SR_0307) who received 6pts and made it in. I told her to keep checking her status since they have been changig ndegree status lately,

Yes, I believe around there. I read that you need to have at least a C in order to stay in the program.

@ Leuqcar

No, those zero credit classes is part of Nursing I. Nursing I is subdivided into four parts (Lab, Lecture, Seminar, and Clinicals)

Ok..and also I rexieved my acceptance letter today. I will pay the deposit on monday ans register for my classes on monday too

@ bossyrobi

Thanks so much but yes I do think that I should finish all prereqs before applying because I do work full time and wanted to do classes part time to see how much I can juggle at once. I had taken the placement test at ccp and I believe I'm going to have to take algebra all over again before math 118. I've completely forgot algebra, being out of school so long. English 101, I should be okay to start with..being I think I did pretty well on my essay and reading parts of the test. Not sure if English or writing classes start lower then that or not tho.

Danad320,

I also started out part time after returning to school.

You can do it!!!????It is not easy juggling family, full time work and school be it is so worth it in the end. By the way they do have an English class to prepare you for 101 if needed. It is Eng 098. I wish you the best!!!!

Bossyrobi

Thanks, do you know what eng 098 is like if you had to take it?

Danad320,

I never took it but I know students that have taken it. English 098 covers more grammar and writing preparation. It really helps you with mastering the five part essay and getting you ready for college level English.
