CCM Certification April 2015 Question

Hey Guys and Gals!!,

I recently payed to take the CCM Certification exam ( Paid today!!) and needless to say, I am kinda nervous about it. I dont have test anxiety but I do want to be sure I pass this test. I dont want to fail and I dont want to be out of $345.00. I know this question has been answered in the past but i was looking for something recent. Does anyone have any good test prep material and can anyone that took the test within the last year give any insight as to what was on the exam you took. I dont want anyone to give me test questions, but rather topics. I also understand the CCM website has a "blueprint" but i was looking for some first hand experience opinons. I have been told about a book by Catherine Mullaney is great but again i was looking for " first hand Opinions" lol.

Thanks again in advance. This site has always been my first stop for assistance.

I took the test in December 2014 only studied for a week and failed. I wasn't expecting to pass as i didn't really study. It was a lot of material. When I called the commission to reschedule, i was told that i scored a 496 and needed 500 to pass :(

So you agree that you should have sudied? Do not beat yourself up. You did a good job for not having studied and at least you know what the exam is like to guide your future studies.

I tried to but i have been getting results for 2004. and I was told they do an update about every 4or 5 years so those data would be too old.. ( im guessing)

I am happy to say I passed the CCM Exam the first time I took it in April of 2014. You are correct the test is updated every 5 years or so. The test you will take in April 2015 is the same one I took last April. CCMC (the creators of the test) recently completed the "Role and Function Study" which is where they get the topics for the exam blueprint. They will update the exam late 2015 or early 2016. Because the current exam was written before the Affordable Care Act, none of this information is on the exam. If you look at the exam blueprint you will see what areas have the most questions, and can focus your study time there. I felt that knowing the Case Management philosophy was important. A free resource I would recommend would be my study notes which can be found at my website.

Thank you so much! I'm very nervous about it.
