Case Study Help-Tips-Advice

Hi Everyone :)

Well I got my first case study to do. It is a CHF patient w/ the obvious s/s Im doing well with the NANDA's interventions etc.

My main issues are

CXR: Pleural Effusion in RLL - Can I use this as an AEB in my Nanda or do I use my lung sounds as an AEB.

Also having problems with labs anyone know of an informative lab site? i think thats it.. LOL......for now. lol

Thank you so much for all the help I have recieved from everyone since September, I attribute all the help and motivation and amazing lecture notes and of course Daytonite's sticky notes lol to passing the first level.

T~

i would have to say that it depends on what your instructors are willing to accept as evidence of the nursing diagnosis you are attempting to prove this is evidence of. pleural effusion is actually a medical diagnosis. if you want to use pleural effusion, find another way to word it that does not sound like a medical diagnosis (how the radiologist described the lung tissue in the body of the radiology report or look at the dictionary definition).

lab test information can be found on these 3. they come from this sticky:
