Ok, So after reading through the Critical eliments last night of implimentation, it seems like the care plans are to be very simple (not too involved) they do seem overwhealming though. Esp. if you are not used to doing them. It seems like we can get ourselves into trouble by overthinking things! True??

yes, you are correct. though the thought of doing careplans can cause high anxiety, the way to do them for excelsior is pretty simple. most of the time, you could get your care plan/nsg dx/interventions straight from the cardex. sometimes, its not so simple. i was thankful that two of my patients were resp. maintenance and had db&c and incentive spir.(one nsg dx. & the interventions covered). i think that once you understand that part of the care plan, a large chunk of the anxiety is gone which makes it easier to be yourself and do what you do best, good luck to you.:)

Christine - Set up your phone calls with the Advisors at Excelsior right away that way when they send back the notes back to you on your careplan you can then discuss it with them on the phone call that week it really helps bring it all together!! :twocents:
