My friend's girlfriend has been arrested for shoplifting (i know...) and she was going to become a RN. Anyway, her case was dismissed and charges were dropped, no conviction whatsoever.
But arrest record still remains.
Will she be able to apply for RN board and become RN eventually?
Any outcome is appreciated, poor thing is feeling down these days.
thanks
You should check if she has a record of any kind. If she does not have a criminal record then there is nothing there. To get criminal records, you have to contact the FBI and the California Department of Justice. She has to send them their finger prints. The FBI and the California Department of Justice check records for people all the time. She should contact them.
In any case, that is where the California State Board of Nursing get their information from, the FBI and the California Department of Justice.
