can I work after OPT?

Hi all,

My OPT will be ended at the end of May 2010. I want to know that :

(1) Can I work for my company as a volunteer, a RN, after the OPT?

(2) What will be the laibility? Do I need to pay for it myself? Can the company pay the liability fee for me if I work for her as a volunteer?

(3) Can I work as a home visiting nurse for my company anymore, if I am willing to do it as a no-paid job?

Thanks for all your kindly responses.

When you are no longer work-authorized, you may not work in ANY capacity. This includes volunteering in a position that is usually paid.

If you do not have any status apart from F1/OPT, you will have to leave the US.

If you have this little of an idea about what you are allowed by law to do, you should go and consult an immigration lawyer at least once to have your legal options explained.
