:balloons: Hello and Welcome to Allnurses.com:balloons:

Hi!!! I'm an LPN. I work for Arcadia(old Merit) in Weymouth. They have other offices as well. I like them very much. I usually go to LTC facilities, and sometimes health clinics. Others accompany handicappped children to school for the day and back. I also work for Healthcare Staffing which is affiliated with the Commonwealth Community system of hospitals and LTC/Rehab. They pay $1 more an hour, but don't have as much availability as Arcadia Health services Let me know where you end up. I also have cheep health insurance through Arcadia.

Good Luck Wendigee

dsgworld.com - Diversified Staffing. I live in Mass and the office I called was in RI. They were able to send me to LTC facilities in both states. The pay is good and they are very friendly! Good luck!

PSA (pediatric services of america) they have offices everywhere ...they are a pediatric home care agency...you can do visiting nurse or block time from 8-16 hrs a shift.....my daughter has this company and the nurses we have are great.....a couple have been with my child for 10 years and they love it. All my nurses for the home have other nursing jobs as well ..they only do per diem at my house but they usually do the same hours & days/nights each week.....they seem to like working for the company as well as coming into the home.....I may even try to get a job with them myself for homecare...not my own home obviously but they do need nurses.....maybe try them???? They have a website....psakids.com I believe....good luck!

I have to tell you that the way to do this is to treat it like you were doing travel nursing. Ask about salaries, any benefits, any contracts and basically ask about where do they go and how busy they are.

You might want to look up these companies in your local phone book or online at SuperPages: Yellow Pages & White Pages

If I wanted to work local agency, that's how I would do it.:balloons:
