Can I have some more details on the walkthrough process? I have alreadey gotten my Nursing school to send my transcript and BON to send my verfication forms to CA. When I get to Sacramento for my CA license, what do I need to bring besides the application? my license, money (how much and do they accept cash and/or cc), my fingerprints (will they .the one's I had done in my state or will they do a scan), anything else I need to know? Thanks. I did a search, but the search engine isn't user friendly. I apologize if this question has already been asked.

Here is the link for you. As long as you walk in with what you need you can get it all handled right then. You will need to either bring your completed fingerprint cards or you will need to go to the police station and get the livescan done. They do not do this at the BON.
Good luck.

Fastest way to do things is to go to the BRN about 9am. The Live Scan for fingerprints is actually done at the Dept of Justice (DOJ), and is just a few miles away. If they have your verification there, then that is all that you will need to do.
I do suggest that you phone ahead and make sure that they have actually received your transcripts, as well as license verification. They will issue you a temporary license that day, and your permanent will follow soon after. Make sure to take photos with you, if you did not include them with your application.

Does anyone know, if the CA BON has received your transcripts & license verification by the time you get there to do your walkthrough, will they issue your permanent license that day, or do you still have to get the temporary license???
