C-Diff

Published

I have been a nurse for 25 years. 3 months ago I was put on prednisone and two days later started having diarrhea. As an experienced hospital nurse, I knew immediately what I had. Yep, the poo test confirmed the dreaded c-diff. I was successfully treated with Flagyl. Now I'm told it will always be dormant in me and can rear its ugly head if I am sick or immune-compromised in some way. Anyone else had this and did it recur on you or was it a one-time dose of hell?
