Thanks everybody for the warm reception!

I just feel like doing a little venting... my nclex is in 4 days, and i feel totally worn out! the thought of doing any more studying or taking any more tests is physically exhausting! all i want to do is get this test over with! has anyone else felt this way before taking the nclex? i tell myself im not going to study anymore, and then i feel guilty about not doing so. this process is so stressfull!!! i dont think i ever stressed this much in nursing school!

and to add to the stress, im supposed to start working the monday after my nclex, and i will feel like a total loser if i have to go in there and let them know that they wasted all of their time hiring me.

God help us all pass this test!

good luck to evryone

Shakira,

Best of luck on your NCLEX! I know that when I get fed up with studying, it always helps to put the books aside for a day or so and then pick things up with a clear head. If you just keep trying to pound information in your head 24/7, it may do more harm than good!

I can speak to & agree with what Eric said about overdoing it. I think that's what happened to me yesterday when I was taking my NCLEX exam. My mind went totally blank & I couldn't even remember things about diseases or concepts I learned in school just 2-3 months ago. I must've looked like a deer staring into headlights on the video recordings they took. To think I was a straight-A student who got one of the top scores in my class on the NCLEX predictor exam.

Don't over stress your mind because in the end, as Eric alluded to, it could do more harm than good.

Shakira -

I feel the same way you do. I take my exam this Tuesday at 2:00 and have been feeling like if I do any more questions my head is going to explode. I have decided that today is my last day of studying and I am not going to pick up another book before the exam. I figure that since I have problems with anxiety I should try my best to stay calm before Tuesday, which means that I need to clear my head before the test.

Try your best to study, but my biggest recommendation is to take breaks. I would take a break every hour or so, just to rejuvenate myself before getting back to studying. It helped me quite a bit!! Hope it helps you too!!

Specializes in none, still looking.

Just have faith, and everything will fall in place.

Good luck

Shakira, not only do I understand it, I feel the same way :)

I test wednesday, so today (monday) is only looking at some simple stuff and doing random questions from kaplan now and again. Maybe I'll look at lab value tonight. That's it.

Day before exam is Movie Day for me :p

Day before exam is not about studying....no one has ever come here and said "GOSH, I'm SO glad I crammed, it made all the difference!" LOL....

thanks everyone,

im going to TRY and take it easy on the syudying and just focus on RELAXING. the main thing i hear about the nclex is not to let your nreves get the best of you.

i am going to pass!!!!!

(lol, i have that posted all over my room)

rn2be, good luck on your test on wednesday!;)
