What I was also trying to say is that the Parkland formula is the most common one I have encountered. You really could use all of them. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Really physician preference and that will vary where they went to med school. The subtleties don't matter all that much.....The point is....the fluid gets replaced
Remember too that it's not just a check list-- "Fluid replacement by formula-- check... Next?" What's important is results, meaning monitoring and assessments by well-educated nurses; this why it doesn't matter that much which one gets used.

There are several ways to calculate fluid replacement in burns..the text says they can all be used..does anyone know the more common one used?
