Build a course in CANVAS

Hello-

I was recently hired to do an online course. The issue is that they need me to build it from the ground up and it starts in 3 weeks. And, they will not buy the textbook for me until the course begins.?

Any suggestions how to even begin?

Honestly, with this lack of support and fast turnaround, I'd be seeking employment elsewhere. Sounds like an insanely disorganized program.

To OP, I seperated my comments to may be provide guidance to you

  1. of course, find the publishers name and address

  2. determine the number of students who will be in your class for the nexr calendar year. Do not underestimate them but you also cannot say 1000 students.

  3. Ask for a DESK COPY as this is under consideration (don't say it is confirmed as the course textbook)

  4. Make sure your credentials are on the letter as is the instruction.

Oh, I read your post again, sorry I am so late.

..I did stop when the censoring of posts got bad (always wonder what happened to the RN graduate ( no experience but quite a belief in her (imaginary) capabilities who joined an NP Program the morning after graduating and was eventually running the practice.
