BSN at UVIC

Hey there, I'm starting my first semester at Uvic (BSN distance program). I am currently living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. There is something I don't really get. How come the BSN program of Uvic only offers 24 units whereas Mcgill is 60 credits, Ottawa is 60 credits as well, Athabasca is 45 credits and Montreal is 90. Will I have the same salary as someone who graduated at Mcgill? Or else...??? Why does the same program have different credits? Shouldn't it be the same in every Nursing Institution?

Did you stay enrolled at univ of Vic? I'm thinking about their program and I'd love to hear what you learned about it. I was thinking about western governors univ online but I don't know if Alberta/NNAS will accept it.

Hi there,

i am living in montreal as well and will be starting my u of vic BSN distance program janurary 2016. University of victoria ban is 24 UNITS, they told me that 1.5 units = 3credits

The problem I'm having is trying to figure out if it is an accredited BSN here in quebec and if we can actually practice as nurse clinicians afterwards????

What are you up too??? any feedback about what you have heard??? Are you finished and has your degree been recognized??

Thanks!! :)
