BSN second courser

Published

Good day!

I just got my degree in linguistics in UP diliman. I will turn 22 this year (2017). I realized that I wanted to take nursing when I was in third year after I experienced a certain 'situation'. I considered shifting to BSN, but I felt guilty about the money I spent during my 3 years in college, so I decided to keep moving forward even if I didnt really like my course.

Now, I realized that I dont want to regret in future. So, I want to ask advices from this forum regarding schools which accept second courser like me and credit my subjects before. If possible (is it possible?), to finish it within 2-3 years.

I asked UPM, but unfortunately, they dont accept second courser even if i got my first degree in other UP campus.

Try UST, FEU or CEU..

It's doable there are lots of nursing school who takes second courser. Nursing is my second career as well and enjoying it I have been a nurse for 10 years now.

Hi! We are in the same boat. :( Got my degree in UP Baguio. I am also looking for schools where I can finish BSN for less than 4 years.

Specializes in Cardical & Organ Transplant.

UPCN and USTCoN doesn't accept second coursers. if you really want to take nursing, a number of schools in metro manila as well as there in Baguio are open for second coursers.

I feel you. I also want to be a nurse but I already have an education degree & already working. I want to go to school again but I am situated in Mindanao where nursing schools are limited í ½í¸”

Hi! We're in the same situation. I'm currently on my 4th year taking up Marketing. I realized that I really want to be a nurse when I was 2nd year but mu parents told me to just finish this. I was supposedly gonna take BS Nursing before but I was discouraged of the news about the rising unemployment and/or underemployment rate of Nursing. Next school year, I'm planning to take BS Nursing. Did you pursue your second course? If yes, where? Thank you! :) I would like to study in a school that would only require 2 years

Please tell me if you know any university or college that offers 2 yrs bsn for second courser.I have a background in medical education because i studied B.SPhysical theraphy until 3rd yr and shifted to bsed and was able to finished bsed .

Hi! I visited lots of school in the Metro, but unfortunately all of them said the same thing -- our Government implemented K to 12 so basically all courses have new curriculum and they can't credit any subjects anymore, even the minor ones. We have to start again from zero.
