BSN programs with a clincal focus?

Does anyone know of any RN to BSN programs with a more clinical focus than the standard BSN track? I am not interested in going into administration, research, or education (been there, done that), and the thought of doing endless papers and presentations on nursing theory, scholarly research, and the history of our profession (which seems to comprise the majority of classes in the standard RN to BSN course of study) does not appeal to me in the least. I need the BSN so I can enter a master's track with the goal of an FNP in emergency care.

I've looked into some of the RN to MSN accelerated programs, but they typically require the same basic courses as the RN to BSN programs.

Any info much appreciated.

Thanks,

DB

Db.. I think they are all pretty much the same from what I have seen. Endless hours of paper writing mixed with discussion questions.

As far as I know, all BSN programs prepare you in that matter. It is what is expected. I HATED doing papers but it is what I had to do. The higher you go in this profession, the more papers you would have to write on theory and research. A lot of people are not interested in management, education or research, but it comes up at some point when you work as an RN. And I think when doing your masters, you do a lot of scholarly research. You may just have to suck it up and bite the bullet.
