BSN or ADN

Hello!

Ok so I'm taking classes in a community college right now for nursing pre-reqs for the El Centro ADN program and the TWU program. I can't decided which route I should take. The problem is financial wise. I don't have a lot of money saved up for the TWU BSN program while financial aid covers the El Centro program expenses. I can apply for scholarships, but those aren't guaranteed. I'm so worried because I've heard some people and most nurses I talked to say that it's best to just get your BSN because hospitals are requiring their bachelors. Also I plan on getting into the El Centro nursing program in Spring 2015. I'm worried about job security for ADN! I need advice on what to do please! :grumpy:

Also can anyone tell the cost of attendance for TWU nursing program, just the 2 years expense. Thank you very much!!!

The cost off attendance at TWU is on their website. You can call and talk to an advisor about your concerns.

Because admission is extremely competitive for both programs, I would apply to both and hope you get accepted at one of them.

Have you determined whether you are eligible for any type of financial aid? That may be a good place to start. You can obtain information about this from the schools in which you are interested.

TWU nursing program is EXTREMELY competitive. You may want to have some alternative schools picked out in case you aren't admitted.
