Brookhaven- Spring 2011

I just turned in my application for Spring 2011 at Brookhaven. Anyone else out there?

I was told when they were reviewing my packet that they now accept 60 for fall and 40 for spring.

With no one receiving the +3 bonus/reserve points, it seems the point total may be less than in previous semesters.

Does anyone know what the minimum was for Fall admission?

Diamond, you and I are in the same boat! I applied the first time to get the 3 points and was just below the cutoff. For everyone else- it is sooo important that you have the majority of your classes done, in addition to a high score. I applied last time with a HESI score of 96, but hadn't completed three of my support courses. I did not get in and was #11 on the alternate list. Take every opportunity to do your support courses- online, multi campus, flex term, summer/winter, etc. I have 36 points this time, only because I completed those three classes. Pretty soon admissions process will have to change because it is getting so competetive!

Has anyone received their confirmation email regarding their points?

I haven't! What about you?

No, not yet. They are supposed to come today, according to the website. In the past, they usually send you an email with your points and ask if there are any disputes with the points stated in the email. It is still early I guess.

Hi all,

I am also awaiting the October 22 news...has it been late in the past? I've called and called this month, and emailed as well just to verify they had my packet and it was all good. I had to send it certified mail b/c of hospitalization.

Anyway, any news anyone??

Gosh!! I didn't get mine either. El Centro is late with their letters and Brookhaven is late with emails... ughhhh the anticipation is nerve wrecking. More time to hope and pray about it I guess!

With this being my third go round, I can attest that they NEVER COME ON TIME! Actually, one semester I didn;t even get my confirmation, and the next email I DID get was my decline letter, lol. I have a good friend who is in the program now and was accepted this time last year. She said they got their acceptance letters October 29, instead of the end of November! It is possible that the confirmatin letters will be late, or we won't get one at all because they are still ranking and going to send out acceptances. If you are concerned, call or email them. I did that last semester and they said they were just really behind.

Good luck everyone! If the letters don't come out by 3pm Monday, go ahead and call, is my opinion.

I emailed yesterday and they said not to expect confirmation emails until Monday. Hope that helps.

Thank you for posting the info! BTW, did you e-mail A.C. or M.W.? I had tried e-mail without luck- just wanted to know if I needed to check my address book or something :)

I had sent a.c. an email about 3 o'clock on Friday. She responded about an hour after that. I can imagine she got quite a few email from people freaking out, just like me. :o Well, not freaking out, but you know what I mean. I figured they would be late considering we are about two weeks late for El Centro as well. Hopefully we start getting the emails today or tomorrow. Even though it is only a points confirmation, it is nice to see that they have actually processed your application, and all is correct.

Just got mine, points agree. Now, just wait and hope...

I haven't gotten my email yet! Don't feel to confident about getting in though, so let's wait...
