Bridging Program in Australia

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

    Haven't heard from them...i submitted around 3rd week of january..

    Hi! I passed last week of January.. additional docs requested sent by 2nd week of feb. They replied today for an interview on march 12. Do you have an idea which intake it is f0r?

    Maybe they are still sending out interview notices?

    That is for their June intake. I had requested my former coworker who just finished his bridging course there to ask when will be the next sched for interview for the june intake and the admissions officer said either late March or early April. I also applied at AAON and passed my docs 2nd week of feb. I am now scheduled for interview this coming wednesday.

    Aren't you going to grab the alpine offer?

    The coordinator promptly responds if you have queries. She even replies even after office hours.

    Just keep the faith. Soon you will have your offer letter also for your bridging. It would be better also to apply for other schools so that you can secure a slot before the expiration of you eligibility. Good luck!

    Hi ms lani_g! I migt also try aaon since it's on a little earlier intake than alpine, lesser tuition and a bit nearer the city i guess? But im not closing doors to alpine yet. Do you have an idea how quick aaon sends offer letters after an interview? Im for tuesdays interview. Il see how this goes... Any advice? :) thanks ms lani_g!

    thank you very much my friend for encouragement! and by the way,how many schools have you tried before you decided to concentrate on CON? A week ago I applied to Castlemaine Health to back up my chances.should i really apply to as many schools as possible???? seems to me not quite right....
