Bridging Program in Australia

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi. Anyone here for ACN September intake?

Hello, Does anybody know any schools in Melbourne that has Sept - Dec intake for BP? Thank you

Hi @Ge311! May I know what agency assisting you? In ACFE, do they need show money or no? Thanks!

@ Habibin you don't need show money in any school because you need to pay the full fee before the course commenced. However, the DIBP- immigration may ask you for financial proof to support your visa application in your stay here in Australia.

@simpleclaudi Now i got confused ~ I asked one of the migration team if show money is still necessary for other colleges or universities? He told me yes, like php 800K to 1M if I want to be enrolled in ACN or IHNA. Do you know any other legit migration team that could help me? Thanks!

@Habibin. I am now working in Australia. I did all the procedures without an agent. When you enrol in any school/education provider you are required to pay the full fee before you start the course. Currently it ranges up to AUD$14,500.00 Bridging program cost. The immigration will only grant you a student or tourist visa once you show them the proof of your enrolment as part of proof in visa application. You are also required to show proof ( bank statements) that you have enough funds to live and study here. Your agent simply means yes you need around that 1M to 1.5M pesos to make your bridging program possible.

You need to consider the cost of the program, visa fees, medical, life here during study. He is right, he just did not explain it well to you. Plus his agent fee too.

@Habibin. You can save some money by applying for study and visa by yourself. You can do it via online. Things are straight forward. You can always contact any school provider of bridging program and apply for a slot or do an inquiry. As for the visa. You can go to the dibp website and go to visa finder and you will find it easy to do.

Again. Goodluck to your endeavors!

@SimpleClaudia, thanks a lot. btw, which course did you took? the 3 months or 6 months? Is it really exactly 3 months or 6 months, the program course will be finished?

Is it hard to find a job right after the bp? Thank you for sharing your experiences.

@Habibin. Like I said, there are news of changes in the program of study by next year. Bridging program used to be 3 months study only and this is changing thats why you need to ask the school provider. When you receive your AHPRA referral, the list of accredited provider will be given to you.

As for a job post BP, some of those I know were blessed to get a job sponsorship but you need to consider your skills and willingness to go regional and other factors. However, if you proceed to PR visa, jobs come faster and easier. You can choose where to apply. The law changed recently. It encouraged employers to give work to those who are here. You can check all these in dibp website and AHPRA. Reading the rules there are more reliable than asking questions around. Remember everyone's situation is different.

Anybody know when IHNA or ETEA will offer intakes after july 2018?

Thanks

@simpleClaudia, Thanks you! ☺️
