Bridging Program in Australia

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi! Newbie here. I'm planning on applying in ETEA or IHNA. Any feedback on those schools? Thank you!

I went to IHNA Perth last year and there is nothing more I could ask for in a bridging course. A lot of reading and group works but it makes the subject more interesting and easier. They also process your certificate of completion to AHPRA a lot faster post bridging. We got our license in less than 7 days after submission by IHNA.

Thank you! I'll be staying in Melbourne with my relatives so I might go to their branch there. :) Do you remember how many students there are in your class at that time?

My brother went to IHNA melbourne in 2013. He didnt have complaints about the school itself and got sent to Moree for his clinical placement (it is a regional area). I personally saw IHNA's accomodation just across the road from the school. The male's quarters was very filthy and I wouldnt recommend staying there.

They probably will have you do it again once you get in the school. Unless you got the MrSA swab from Australia. This is what happened to most of us in Perth. If i where you, Id ask IHNa melb and clarify so as to not pay twice.

its stated in the IHNA immunisation form that perth students must do the MRSA swab in perth... but I'm going melbourne, so I can do it outside Aus. Did you go for MRSA screening in PH? where in st. lukes should I go? And should I book appointment in advance?

thanks
