books!

Hi

Anyone starting Block 1 this august? Have you bought your textbooks yet? I haven't :uhoh3:

I haven't been in school for about 2 years. What are some good reliable sites to buy books? I'm thinking amazon.com is probably a safe bet.

I am starting Block I at CGCC in Aug. and I am currently researching where to buy my books. So far I have found the cheapest at Amazon.com. My bookstore had a ton of the Pharmacology books used, so I will get that there, but the amazon new prices were cheaper than the used book prices at the bookstore (but the selection of used books was slim). It is a bit overwhelming when the book bill is the close to the same amount of your tuition bill. I a hoping that Block I is the worst, as I assume that we will be using these books throughout the rest of the Blocks!

What school are you going to be at?

i'm going to SCC

I went on textbooks.com and my total for all the books (except for a bunch of Davis books that are being put together as a special "package" thru the SCC bookstore) was about 375... so i'm wondering just how much this package is going to cost me...

i work at scottsdale healthcare so they prepay or reimburse all your tuition and books so I guess it can be worse.

I am going to EMCC and haven't got a book list yet...but i will probably buy as many used books as possible!

I have some books from CGCC. Send me a email if you are interested.

Tland,

I am interested, but forgive me I am not sure how to send a private email to you. I guess we have to have at least 15 posts to do so. I am off to reply to some more posts, and then maybe you can email me. Thanks so much.

Wendy

Tland I forgot to ask, what block are you in?

Tland,

You should be able to email me now, I made it to 15 posts.
