ok I been preparing for this for a year but my boards are in 2 days and i am getting so anxious i dont know what to do. I've been studying daily for approx 5 weeks and i feel well prepared but as this day is getting close i am getting more and more uptight. I can't sleep at night and i am pacing and i keep having these dreams that the nclex test won't stop giving me questions up to like 5,000. Am I turning paranoid or what? Any last minute suggestions.

better stop studying 3 days before you take the exam ,so your brain can take a rest and can focused to analyze the the question

Alpine, just relax, and calm down. It will be fine really. If you are ready you are ready now, so forget about studying anymore. Really! If you have been studying for 5 weeks then you are a serious student and probably did very well in school. The pacing and bad dreams tell me you may be a "pefectionist". Well, welcome to nursing, I think many of us are kinda "anal-retentive" in a positive flexible sort of way:specs:
Good luck too!
thanks for the advice i am going to stop studying and attempt to relax!

If you don't know it by now, you won't know it for the test. Take the rest of the time to relax as much as you can. Good luck!

TazziRN is absolutely right, if you don't know it by now, you probably won't learn it in time for your boards. Do not study the day before your boards, just relax and get a good solid 8 hours of sleep the night before. I 've been told that eating salty foods the morning of, and wearing a bright red or yellow shirt is supposed to help, dunno for sure, but if you've been studying this hard and this long, chances are you are well prepared. Relax, You will do just fine.
