Blood sugars?

Does anyone know if it is with in the scope for a cna in Iowa to do bs? I cant seem to find this info anywhere. I don't remember doing them when I went through the cna program but I see a lot of posts on here about the aids doing them. It would be very helpful to me in the mornings. Thanks

(even an on-line resourse would be great);)

I would check with your facility. When I was an aide in NY I did them but when I was an aide in MA I didn't do them. Where I work now the aides are not allowed to do them.

Our nursing assistants do blood sugars, vital signs, and they can even collect urine/stool specimens (but they rarely do this)

Fellow Iowan here. The aides at my hospital do the blood sugars.
