I would check with the couceling department of the science department to see if you can get out of bi 101. I had to take it before I could take BI 231 and if you wait till the first day of class to register you better plan on being there early and prepare for the fact there maybe 20 other people trying to do the same. It was like that every term I had been in Biology courses. Some instructors will do first come first serve others will do a draw since they dont know who was there first. This all considering they have enough spots in lab. The lab can only have so many students at a time by state law. Good Luck:up:
BI 112 is now the prerequisite for the Anatomy & Physiology series at PCC and I think you are unlikely to get an override unless you have a whole lot of biology in your past. The course draws quite a bit from the biology and chemistry that 112 introduces and quite frankly, if you don't have a handle on it, you may find yourself sinking in A&P. I totally understand wanting to get the series over with, but it is a really tough class and believe me, you want all the preparation you can get. But, if you've got the bio background, I say go for it.
