I'm one of the pyschos who are using both, yes both. I signed up for Kaplan because it was part of my school. While I was enthusiastic at first I was quickly let down by the fact that a majority of the material was showing me how to eliminate and "guess" based on the decision tree. That's fine and dandy but I feel like my weakness is lack of content. I must have stored a lot of info from nursing school in my short term memory because a lot of subject I felt like I was reading for the very first time!
So I signed up with Hurst Review. I'm doing the online review and half way through the videos. So far I'm loving the lectures! Marlene is amazing at breaking everything down to simple knowledge. The downside is that as I'm talking through the material like she wants me to, I'm doing it with a Southern accent.
What do you guys think? I'm still only half way through hurst so I'm especially interested in how you feel Hurst has helped you pass the Nclex.
