  2. Hello to fellow allnurses members! I finally passed my NCLEX RN exam the second time around! I couldn't have done it without everyone's support. As you can see from my title, I went ALL the way. The items that I used for this exam was Kaplan, a little bit of Saunders in case I needed more clarification, and NCLEX 4000. My first time I only used Hurst and NCLEX 4000. For those thinking about going for hurst, my advice is go for it, but also get the online video supplement where Marlene is teaching it. Also, get a book or a program that allows you to practice a BUNCH of questions. For those thinking about going to Kaplan, all I can say is I wished I did this the first time. Some people like it, others don't. I found that the decision tree helped and works most of the time. My advice for kaplan is to watch all the LOD content videos and do your Q bank. Unfortunately I didn't have time to finish the content videos, but I spent a lot of time doing the Q bank. Like what everyone says, doing a lot of questions is a big part in passing. Getting exposed to a lot of questions makes it a bit easier to test because you've been doing them for a while now. For those who are about to take it, good luck to you all. For those who have not yet passed, you WILL pass, I believe in that. God knows what is best for us, and He knows the right time for us to shine. If you have any questions, please let me know. I don't know if I have enough posts to finally be able to send private messages since I'm still somewhat new to this site.
  3. congrats Liyah24!!! I was wondering if you also did the video review from hurst and if you found it helpful. I am currently studying for my second time... Hope you find a job soon so all that work will finally pay off
  4. the good pop up is pretty accurate... check other threads and you'll see a strong correlation between getting the "good pop up" and passing. so in advance congrats!
  5. @branzilla @kazaa1201: thnx guys for the advice. I'll try and stick with hurst but purchase the online review. I did the live review so I'll check out the online.
  6. @branzilla: thnx for the info. I was wondering though if ur talking about purchasing the Kaplan review book you would find at barnes n noble
  7. @Joe17: thnx... i'm praying really hard that i did pass. i was wondering though from what you have seen on this thread, what would be the "best" review class out there? i took hurst and thought it was good for content, but from what i have seen on the test, the class didn't really help me. so i was thinking kaplan maybe?
  8. So I took my exam today and did the PVT. Took me to my cc info. With all that's being said, it looks like I didn't pass. I took hurst for a review class and thought it was good for content. However, after not passing, I'm trying to figure out if I should stick with hurst and re-read it or take kaplan? Please Help!
  9. Hey guys, I'm quite new to this site. I just took my exam today. I tried the PVT and it lead me to my cc info. I was wondering if the PVT is really the true predictor that I either passed or failed. I'm praying that I did not fail... Just in case, I am trying to figure out how to register for the Kaplan review course. I took hurst as a prep class and thought it was good for content. Please help! Oh and congrats to you HappyMeNow and KelG_RN!
