Hi, I was accepted to Bethune's program and was just wondering if there are any Bethune Cookman alumni student/nurses on here. If so, please tell me what I should expect(workload, professors, clinicals, etc). I have heard a combination of good and bad things but nothing too crazy. Thanks!

Bethune cookman accepts around 30 students for the spring and the fall. They require the teas version 4.0 which can be taking at the school. They ask for a 2.8 but as any other school to be competitive you'll need a gpa around a 3.0 or higher. Physical form, immunization, background check will need to be done before so you can submit it with the application.

Well as a pre nursing student all you'll be doing is taking the pre requisites such as biology, microbiology and lab, anatomy & physiology I and II...and so much more classes. Basically, try to have good grades in all those classes more A's I suggest. After you done with your pre requi, you can now apply to the program and take the teas test. How to make your application stand out depends on GRADES nothing else. Apply yourself and you should get in.

@DeonNursingbound I was just accepted into the program for the fall just make sure you have your pre req's done and you cannot retake more than 2 of them so make sure you pass.Once u put in your app u will have to write an essay but as long as you have the proper classes and the proper gpa u should have no problem getting in Good Luck!!!
@ Kellz 321 I'm also starting the nursing program this fall at Bethune Cookman. Who knows we might have classes together. Let me ask you did you do your figerprinting and drug screening as yet?:)

Hi guys Im a recent grad from the great Bethune-Cookman nursing program. This program is a great program there are some good and not so good teachers but overall it is a good program. Although I would be honest and tell you that it takes a lot out of you when you get into the program so you really have to be dedicated. Expect to be mostly studying, studying, and more studying and early mornings for clinicals. Just a little quick advice take some time for yourself cause it was the most stressful years of my life.

Recent grad as well... Heard there have been many changes, and a lot of new teachers so dont focus on that just yet. I heard Nurse LOVE is back, become her best friend and LOVE her! lol. Do 50 questions minimum a day in addition to your studies, it will help during test taking time. Get involved in your clinicals and get the most out of understanding and applying what you learn to what is really done... pray, pray, and pray some more. Dont be scared of your teachers, and there are no dumb questions. Someone else may be thinking it and it will help someone else if not yourself. And remember, the teachers will get paid whether you understand it or not, so it may be best that you get the most out of your learning and annoy them to assure that you understand so that you pass... hope it all helps.
