Best Way to Study For Practical Tests

Published

I have a test next Tuesday in lab and I am quickly looking at the powerpoint slides of our models now and just noticed he did not actually go over much...I have been debating this for a while now so maybe that is a sign for me to do it...would it be in my favor to pay for quizlet to get access to everything so I am not limited on the amount of bullet points I make for each picture?

it is for a&p 2...heart and blood vessels but in the pictures there is more than just the heart and blood vessels to give you a general idea

I haven't paid for quizlet yet and used it all through A&P 1 and 2, even for memorizing anatomy, (and now for nursing school).

I personally just put the term in like normal and then for the "definition" clicked the image feature and found an image that displayed the bone, bone feature, blood vessel, etc. Then, you can just make sure when you use Study or Learn that it displays the "definition" first. (You can change which shows first in the options.)

But I guess if you find it would help you significantly more to use the diagram feature or your own pictures, it could be worth the cost. I think there may be a 30 day trial you can do though first?

I was going to use it to label the models and instead of having to make a bajillion because your only allowed 8 points in the picture per set I thought about paying only cause last time it was aggravating me to make these and I like using the sets to force myself to know the location as opposed to picking and choosing what I know if that makes sense

I never paid for quizlet and I used it for A&P 1 and 2. There are SO many quizlets made by different people it was able to show me everything I needed. If possible, also see if you can take pictures of the models in lab, my friends did that and went to CVS/Walgreens wherever and printed them out and we able to study that way. I went to the library and used the models there to be able to touch them and see them and turn them around. So pretty much, you should be able to have multiple resources without paying for quizlet. Good luck!

Practice! We were able to "check out" models from the lab in the library to study with outside of class, but this could only be done on campus. I would also take pictures of the models to take home, print out, and label over and over. Worked really well for me.

I have PowerPoint pics of the models and specifically saying where and what to know...I was more saying in case some areas don't list areas of things I have to know as well and I needed to add in because since I have the free version I don't think it would allow me to copy the model and add whatever I needed to since for diagrams on the free version your only allowed 8 arrows/points per set hopefully that clears things up

I'll give an example why i prefer using quizlet even though printing them out and just covering what I didn't know..with quizlet it kinda forces me to know everything as opposed to choosing everything I know and kinda hoping I guess correctly for the areas I don't...does that make sense?

If you need to have it a specific way to learn it and can only use the models, then pay for premium.

Doing an image per card with an arrow to the anatomy and the answer in the opposite side worked for me and saved me from paying the cost. But if that or a printed version is not going to let you to learn, then do what you gotta do.

so I did harp on yesterday specifically arteries and veins, i just don't remember if i end up putting the ones they truly ended up being sooo well see!!! i hope i passed considering recent events for me
