Best time to take the NET?

I was wondering if anyone who has taken the NET test can tell me what the best time is to take the test. I will be able to apply for Nursing school in May, so obviously I need to take it before then. Currently I am still in the beginning of MAT1033 (intermediate algebra). I will start College Algebra (MAT1105) in January for a 7 week class (gulp). All I have left to take in the spring (before May) are Microbiology (gulp again), Humanities and Speech.

So I guess my actual question is about the math part. Obviously I need to have just covered the material in class that is on the test. Math is not my best subject!!!! I tend to forget things. Does anyone think it's best to take the NET right after MAT1033, or to wait until completing MAT1105?

The NET is such a funny test...We were required to take it after we got accepted into nursing school as a general assessment...( Did not see the point since we were already in the program).

These are the type of math problems you can expect

0.5 divided by 0.01

.007 + .8 + 5.098

0.001 x 0.002. Yata, yata, yata. Very basic math skills are required. I honestly bombed the math part as I learned this skills when I was getting my first degreee, but I hear that there is a NET prep book that can help out.....so maybe you should purchase it. I believe that there is a net thread on here where you can get information from those who have taken it. :)
