I am currently attending a community college, but i dont know if i should just go to a school to get my LVN license or should i just stick to my community college and get my associates in RN??

what do you guys think????

well you could go for your lpn and start working making good money then return part time for your RN, that's what I would do, well if you need the $$.

well its just that i heard lvn programs cost alot

and at my community college the rn program is only gonna cost abot 1600 a semester

but there is also a lottery to get accepted so theirs a chance i wont get in

hi angel. well, if the waiting lists for the rn is soooo long then i would go for my lpn. then work for a year and have your employer pay for your rn schooling. research which avenue would be beneficial for you. compare the two programs and check which one would satisfy your ultimate goal faster. please note that there are a lot of lpn-rn programs and usually the slots for that is different than the generic rn.

If possible get your LPN and work as one a day or two a week while completing your RN. Great experience and will make RN working easier!

There is alot for you to think of; how long is the waiting list, the entrance requirements for LPN school (some of them are just as competitive), and your personal needs, dreams and desires. Of course, I would say that if you have better chances to enter into an LPN program, then, do so, but if your main desire is to become an RN, and happen to get accepted there first, then, go for what your heart really desires. Good luck!
