Baylor DABSN Warning

Specializes in nothing.

If anyone is going to Baylor DABSN program and is hoping to enter a speciality such as ICU, NICU, Peds..... well.... good luck charlie

Hi! I’m recently applied to the Baylor ABSN program for fall ‘22 and would love to know your experience with the program and any concerns you have. I’ve applied to 2 other programs but Baylor is my #1 choice right now. I would appreciate any insight.

@Futurenurse.sunny HI! Did you get accepted for the Fall? I'm applying now and hoping to start this fall as well! Can you tell me about your experience during the application process. I still need to take the HESI exam and I need the religion courses. Where did you take those courses?

Look for a general unit. You will learn about organization and communication with a multitude of MDs and many other specialties. You will be on your own -- no leaning on med students or residents to be the second set of eyes.  Graduating from a nursing program is never a guarantee for a 'specialty' program.

Hey guys! I was a part of the very first cohort for Baylor’s DABSN program. If anyone has any questions, please let me know!

Congrats on completing the program!
Q: What advice do you have for newly admitted students? - can be academic, personal etc…

@mac2121

I'm starting in this program in the fall. Overall how did you like the program? Were you able to find a position you desired after the program?

@Ceeteeme congrats on starting in the fall! Do you know if there is a facebook group/page for this cohort?

@rmt0rres I haven’t heard of anyone making a facebook for this cohort yet.

@Ceeteeme if you don’t mind me asking did you take the religion prerequisites already or are you taking them during the Summer, if so, where?
