Azusa ABSN program

hi everyone,

i'm hoping to get into Azusa's accelerated bsn program for the Jan2010 cohort. for those of you who have applied and got accepted-what factor do you think got you in? after my initial interview w/Azusa i know that getting all A's in the core prereq's is key. but do you think your essay and 3 recommendation letters weighed pretty heavily?

just trying to get an idea...i was pondering going into an LVN program this fall-but then i couldn't do the Azusa thing next Jan. so many options....

While waiting until I start the program, I've been looking into various ways to help cover tuition.

Can anyone share their situation w/ financial aid & tuition? I want to make productive use of my time (saving & applying for scholarships) until I have to start the program. I would love any tips/strategies that you might want to share! =)

Hi Kalo,

This is an old thread but I just found out I got into the ELM program at the APU San Bernardino location today! I noticed that you said you did EENAP at the SB location and I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about the program and location!

Hi Karalisa25. I just got into the San Bernardino location for next year and I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about the location and program! Let me know, I'm trying to get as much information from people in these forums as possible =)

Hi Justinek, I found I got in San Bernardino campus for Spring 2012 yesterday. Are you in for Spring too?!

Does anyone know where the best neighborhood to live is out in SB? I'm moving from San Francisco, so any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm moving from the bay too, so I'd have noo idea about housing. I got in for summer 2012. you're in for spring? what month does that start? how exciting!

Very exciting! Spring starts in January. I heard Loma Linda is a nice place and and it's close to the campus, but that's about all I know... rent is a lot cheaper than in the bay that's for sure =)

Ohh okay. Yeah I think summer starts in May then, so I still have a good amount of time to save money and figure out finances. Are you going to submit the fafsa and look for financial aid/scholarships/loans? Let me know if you find any good info on other good areas to live in, finances, the campus, etc! feel free to email me [email protected]. I'd love to keep in touch at least with you so that I can get some information on the program once you start :) Yay!

I've submitted the fafsa and I'm getting loans, which cover the cost of tuition, but not much left over for other expenses......... submit your fafsa soon.

hey!! did you get my message? i got moved up to the spring 2012 cohort at SB!

Hi guys! I graduated from that program. As for living areas, Loma Linda, Redlands, and Rancho Cucamonga seemed nice, but the rest of the Inland Empire is in pretty bad shape. San Bernardino (where the school is located) is not a nice place to live. Do you have any more questions?:redpinkhe

Hi, does Azusa Pacific still have A-BSN program at its Azusa and San Bernardino campus?

It seems only EL-MSN is available at both campus? Am I right? Thanks.
