Austin, Tx ERs

Hey y'all,

I am moving to Austin from College Station and am looking at working in an ER in the Austin area. I have 5 years of experience with the first 2 spent in a Level 1 trauma center; the last 3 years I have been working in college health and am currently in nursing administration. I would really like to get back into the ER but am not very familiar with the Austin hospitals. Anyone have any information they would be willing to share? Also, can anyone give me an estimate on pay for an experienced nurse? Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

The big trauma er is at university medical center brackenridge which is part of Seton. It's downtown and it's super busy. Ive heard the staff is clicky so if u fit in the click great, if

not, it could be rough. I know some people who work there and

they love it. I would say pay btw$24-28ish?? Not sure. Less crazy ers are

seton main and north austin med center (part of st

davids)

good luck!!

I think St Davids Hospitals are the best to work for. That is just my opinion. Hope this helps :)
