Augusta Tech Fall 2012

Hey, just posting to see if anyone else is applying for the Fall 2012 nursing program at Augusta Tech, GA.Louise.

I'm really hoping that my Pax score will help out...I have my fingers crossed! I have all A's in my pre-reqs except for A&P I, which I have a C in....I took that class at UGA and my professor was crazy and intentionally tried to fail people, I swear. If i calculated it right I think I have a 3.62. I'm just afraid that there are a lot of applicants who have around a 4.0. Do you know what your GPA is for your pre-reqs?

Congrats on 150 lwhit! 3.62 gpa is also a great pair with your PAX score (:

My sis went to UGA and she said she had a teacher who tried to fail the students too. She said it was tough but she loved it.

I read that last year the students were notified via smartweb so that's what I'm going to believe.

I think you'll be fine too with that great PAX score and your GPA is still good. My GPA is 3.8. I got a B in math years ago.

As for the notification, my friend got a thick envelope in the mail with her acceptance letter and other paperwork needed for the program, the LPN program. She said that if you get a thin envelope, it more than likely means you did not get in. Let's wait and see. I feel like calling them everyday and bugging them about, maybe they will get tired and rush:)

I'm guessing nobody else has heard anything yet either? I want to call so bad and see if they are close to making decisions yet!

I still haven't heard anything either. If you call and find out something, please let me know what they said!

Im glad there are other people waiting anxiously like me. Keep me posted guys.

Has anyone called recently?? Just curious as to what they've told others as far as when they are expecting to be able to let us all know.

I called on Tuesday and the lady I spoke to at admissions was friendly but didn't seem to really know anything. She said that the nursing program was still going through everything and she wasn't sure when they would make any decisions. Has anyone else had beter luck getting any info? I'm assuming (hoping) we will hear something next week.

I was also wondering if anyone had heard anything from the school? I know the folks that entered the 2011 class had already been notified by this time. I am pretty much starting to believe I didn't make it in. I will give it another day or so before calling again. I know we were specifically asked not to call the school when I took my PAX test. But it is kind of hard to do isn't it?

I'm really hoping to find out something this week!! I currently live in Madison, Ga (which is an hour and a half away) so I would really like to have some time to figure out living arrangements, if I were to get in. I will probably call again if I haven't heard anything by mid-week.

So I finally talked to someone helpful today...and according to her decisions will be made by next week. She said that if everything goes as planned we should all know whether we were accepted or not by the end of next week.
