  1. I know exactly what you mean...everything is sooo expensive!! My visit to the financial aid office this week was very unproductive...I didn't get any answer as to when my award info would be viewable/updated on BannerWeb. Thank-you so much for all the information about the titers and the dental screening. I will definitely be making a dentist appointment there for the coming week! I assumed Augusta would have several minute clinics since it's such a large city...but I guess not. I had mine done today at one in Covington since I'm staying at my dad's house in Madison for the summer. I would try to call around at several places because surely somewhere in Augusta will have reasonably priced physicals.
  2. Eeekkk!! I really hope they update my award information before tuition and fees are due...I'm taking out a small federal loan that I need to use for the tuition and fees, as well as for books. I prefer not to have to ask my dad for the money, seeing as he's already having to pay for my uniforms and all the other stuff on the checklist. What's the purpose of getting a school loan or financial aid if you don't get it before everything is due?? Sooo frustrating!! I'm going to financial aid today, so I will let you know if I talk to anyone helpful and find out anything. Also, sorry to bombard you with all the questions about where you're getting your stuff done....but what dentist did you find that charges that for the screening?? I got quoted a much higher price at my regular dentist, so I would like to go somewhere less expensive to have it done.
  3. Thanks! I'm definitely going to look into getting them done there! And I haven't had the best of luck with the financial aid at ATC either...I've submitted all my necessary documents but they've yet to update everything so I can see my award eligibility. Also, you can get a physical done cheap (around $30-40) at a CVS minute clinic, which I plan on doing later this week. It's definitely much cheaper there than most doctor's offices.
  4. Pegasus65, I was wondering which health department you used to get your titers drawn and how much they charge for them there?? I need to go early this week to get that taken care of!!
  5. Have any of you picked up the packet from the school yet?? Just curious as to what all it includes.
  6. Please let me know what you find out about the accreditation/licensing!!
  7. Congrats!! I listened to the voicemail with the good news when I got off work! I am going to attend and hope that the accreditation thing works out. I plan on doing an RN to BSN program when I finish, so as long as I'm eligible to take the state boards when I finish at Augusta Tech I'll be okay. I got wait-listed at ASU for the fall and could hear back from them as late as the first day of classes, so this is pretty much my only option at the moment.
  8. So...what exactly happens if you complete the ADN program at Augusta Tech and they're not re-accredited yet??
  9. So I finally talked to someone helpful today...and according to her decisions will be made by next week. She said that if everything goes as planned we should all know whether we were accepted or not by the end of next week.
  10. I'm really hoping to find out something this week!! I currently live in Madison, Ga (which is an hour and a half away) so I would really like to have some time to figure out living arrangements, if I were to get in. I will probably call again if I haven't heard anything by mid-week.
  11. Has anyone called recently?? Just curious as to what they've told others as far as when they are expecting to be able to let us all know.
  12. I still haven't heard anything either. If you call and find out something, please let me know what they said!
  13. I'm really hoping that my Pax score will help out...I have my fingers crossed! I have all A's in my pre-reqs except for A&P I, which I have a C in....I took that class at UGA and my professor was crazy and intentionally tried to fail people, I swear. If i calculated it right I think I have a 3.62. I'm just afraid that there are a lot of applicants who have around a 4.0. Do you know what your GPA is for your pre-reqs?
  14. I know exactly what you all mean....the suspense is killing me as well. I scored 150 on the PAX. Luckily, I have taken numerous chemistry courses and two physics classes which definitely helped me out. I am more concerned with my GPA keeping me from getting in though Also, do any of you know if we'll receive a letter through the mail or will all communication take place via Smartweb? I was unable to attend an information session because I attend school in Athens and none of them worked around my schedule, so I feel out of the loop.
  15. I have applied to their program as well and I'm anxiously awaiting to hear something. How did you guys do on the Pax-Rn?? I am just curious as to what the average score is for the test. Also, please let me know if you hear anything back. Good luck to both of you!!
