Has anyone taken TEAS 6? Any advice? I'm scheduled to take it on September 27, 2016.

Hello there!
I have to preface this: I have been out of school since 2008, when I received my B.S. in biology. Also, I have always been good at standardized testing for the most part.
I personally thought it was very easy. I bought a TEAS crash course book by REA, but was too lazy to study. I basically skimmed through 1/4 of the book this morning before I took my test. I started to panic, then gave up studying (LOL). I think it is probably a good book to study if you need a refresher, but I really didn't utilize it enough to say.
I did pretty well; I scored 96th percentile nationally, and 99% percentile in regards to other people in the diploma program.
In my opinion, over half of the questions were common sense. The things you would want to brush up on would be basic math problems (algebra, basic operations) and science terminology. Review basic things you learned in grammar. Know how to interpret data presented in graphs. I really don't know what else to say, I thought it was really easy.
The new version allows you to use a calculator, which is provided on the computer screen. I was happy about that, I had no idea that earlier versions lacked calculators. Out of all the sections, math was the only stressful part because you can run low on time. I finished with 10 minutes left to check my answers, a lot less than the other sections. But I still did okay on the math.
If you've been out of school for a while or you're a bad test taker, I would probably go ahead and buy the ATI book just to be safe.
I hope this helps. Try not to stress out too much, and if you think you might do poorly, get that study book. It can't hurt, the worst case scenario would put you in a position to be over-prepared.

I have taken the teas twice now. the first time was ati v and the second time was version 6. I felt really ready and failed it. there was questions that I was like" huh??" I feel so depressed. I read all the comments how people passed and just don't get it. I only have one more chance. I live california and I do not know how else to study then what I have been doing- The ati study manual and the practice test and the momtrix secrete study guide is what i have. I feel very stupid now when I hear how people passed with 80+... any advice!!

I'm in the same boat as you. Are you going to try The Alkins Academy? I'm going to register for it tomorrow and begin the first class on Wednesday.

I feel good I'm not the only one who did not get 80 and above. I heard all the rave reviews about how 'easy' it is and what to study..so I did just that..but I did not get the percentile I was aiming for. I'll retake it in about a month. Overall I felt it was difficult for me.
