I am a new grad and I have trouble coming up with questions to ask. Would asking about what type of charting system is used be an appropriate question if you are unfamiliar with the hospital? I have an interview with a director of MICU tomorrow and am very nervous about it! Thanks for the help!

I guess that would be an appropriate question. What about asking about what types of patients the MICU typically sees? If the MICU does CRRT? Which types of patients are 1:1? Do MICU nurses serve on the rapid response team? How many nurses are CCRN certified? Educational opportunities on the unit? What is the relationship like between nursing and the medical staff?
Those are questions I'd like to know.
Thank you! Those are very helpful! I appreciate it greatly :) I planned on asking other relevant questions too and had written down about education opportunities, additional training/support offered, typical MICU patients.
How'd it go?
I think it went well. I haven't done an interview in a few years so I was very nervous. Everyone was nice and the questions weren't too difficult. I asked a lot of questions. The director said if HR calls me it will be by Friday or Monday of next week. Finger crossed I get it! The waiting is already killing me.
