Hello All,
I'm thinking of becoming a Nurse Practitioner and as I check out different programs, I notice some programs call themselves ARNP or APRN is there a difference?

There is no difference. Its just another inconsistency among nursing academia and the BONs.

Each state will tell you what you need to write after your name.

In my state, it's CNP.

It's what the state chooses for them to be called. If I have to pick from the two, I like ARNP personally although my state is APRN.

OP, being that you're in Florida, the designated title is ARNP for NP's.
APRN is a collective designation proposed by the Consensus Model for the 4 advanced practice nursing specializations, NP, CNS, CNM, and CRNA. However, prior to the Consensus Model, some states have used the APRN title to designate NP's. ANCC also previously used it as a certification title for both NP's and CNS's (APRN-BC).

If you're over 65 it's a AARP APRN [emoji3]
