Are they all the same???

Published

I am currently in my first assignment with Cross Country and it's going well. I signed up with two other companies- medstaff and nova pro- and apparently they are subsidies of Cross Country. I was told that they basically have the same assignments!

What other companies do they own? I want to avoid having 3 recruiters calling me about the same jobs.

Specializes in ED, ICU, PACU.

"Cross Country's brands are:

Akos (research staffing)

Assent (research staffing)

Assignment America (international)

ClinForce (research staffing)

Cross Country Local (per diem)

Cross Country TravCorps

Cross Country Staffing (travel)

CRU48 (rapid response assignments)

Healthstaffers (government/military assignments)

MedStaff (travel and per diem)

MRA Search (nurses and other Healthcare Professionals)

MRA - Metropolitan Research (research staffing)

NovaPro (travel)

In addition, they operate Cross Country University and Cross Country Education as separate subsidiaries and Cejka Search which is a mostly physician permanent placement agency. RNTravelSpace gives the appearance of an independent travel nurse resource page but is actually a recruiting page for CCTV's brands only."

Do you know if American Mobile has a similar number of subsidiaries?

wow! Unbelievable!

Do you know if American Mobile has a similar number of subsidiaries?

"American Mobile (AMN Healthcare Services Inc.)

American Mobile has total revenue of 1.14 billion dollars annually as of 2007. About 70% of that is travel nursing and allied health. Pantravelers estimates this represents the full time equivalent of 7,000 travelers. Publicly traded under the stock ticker of AHS. American Mobile's corporate site.

American Mobile brands are:

American Mobile Healthcare

Medical Express

NursesRx

Preferred Healthcare Staffing

Platinum Select

HRMC

O'Grady-Peyton International (international)

Staff Care (physician)

Merritt Hawkins & Associates (physician)

Nurse Choice

RN Demand

RN Extend

Med Travelers (allied)

Rx Pro Health (pharmacy)

Thera Tech Staffing (allied)

In addition: NurseZone This is a comprehensive nursing site, but does stealth marketing for AMN. And TravelNursing gives the impression of an independent job board."

I pray to God that they are not all the same..... I really, really, really want to be a travel RN. I'm looking for new company and praying that I wont go through this again!!

Specializes in Cardiac, Oncology, Travel, Surg, LTAC.

They are not all the same. CC and AMN are referred to as the "evil empire" among travelers. For one list of ratings of various agencies, go to "Highway Hypodermics". There is a list of travel nurse companies that are rated by benefits/perks/etc using a "syringe" for every item. Ratings go from "21" (highest rating) to "1" (lowest rating). It doesn't cover all the agencies, but gives an idea as to what benefits/perks/etc. are offered/available by a lot of the agencies....and which are not. Also, not all benefits are important to every traveler. This way it was easier for me to determine which agencies I wanted to look into when I decided to return to traveling. It all comes out of one bill rate, and there is only so much of the "pie" that can be used for paying the travelers. That includes salary and benes, so know what is important to you in your situation. It can make a difference in your overall take home. Hope this helps! ;)

Specializes in Pre-Op/PACU, Infusion Therapy, Endoscopy.

oh wow...I am looking in Cross COuntry Travel Corp and I found this thread very informative. These figures posted by loricatus are very intriguing to say the least. From what I am learning...no matter the company...it ultimately comes down to the 'recruiter' you have. Every company has it's good and bad reps.
