Are we allowed to gloat here?

My school's ADN program is split into two 7.5 week segments within the semester. We're just wrapping up our 1st semester theory and lab classes and getting ready to go into clinicals for the final 2.5 weeks of the segment.

Just figured out my grades and it looks like I'm getting a 3.5 in theory and 4.0 in lab. I've done really well on everything...exams...competency evaluations, got a 100% on our required math exam.

I know there's a lot of people who aren't doing so hot and I've read some of those threads here, and I've seen the look of fear and frustration on my classmates' faces, which makes it difficult to stand up and say "YEAHHHHH, I'm doing GREAT!"

Not getting a big head though...I realize I have miles to go before I sleep and there's lots of opportunity to go south if I get too cocky and self-confident.

Congratulations! Like you said continue working hard and doing what you need to do and you'll sail right through.

I say hardy congratulations! I also did well in my first semester but so did several others in my class so I had "boasting buddies" this semester however I am doing realy well and we have had 3 people drop from class because it is to hard or stressfull.

Congrats! It is refreshing to hear about those who are doing well. I am holding my own in my first 7.5 week classes, also. The amount of reading took a minute to get used to, but totally doable. To all those stressing about hearing how impossible it is, we are hear to say you can do it, and do it well. YEAH!!!!

Nothing wrong with giving yourself a pat on the back, sometimes you are the only one who will do it. So go to town with congratulating yourself, I know I do when I deserve it.

Congrats. This is week is the end of my ten weeks semester. I will start another semester the next two weeks. All is well so far and Nost of us are doing great. We have had a few people who have fallen behind. However, I cannot wait to for the end to come.

Outstanding!! it's good to hear a success story on here. If we didn't have any it would make it really difficult to be able to support those who are struggling. Celebrate the day my friend, it's yours.
