APRN Mentor

Published

I'm a new APRN FNP with 10 years of nursing under my belt and I'm looking for a mentor to guide me through the ups and downs of a new position.

Specializes in Adult Nurse Practitioner.

What about one of your preceptors?

Specializes in Internal Medicine.

Local APRN organizations are a great way to meet other NP's and network.

That said, if you'd just like someone you can PM or email to ask questions of, I'm more than happy to help. I've been an NP for over 2 years now, so the experiences of being brand spanking new are very fresh in my head. My first NP position out of school was a situation in primary care where I loved my collaborative physician but hated the work environment. I've since moved onto a hospital position with great physicians and an amazing work environment, and I still am able to do 1099 work for my previous boss, avoiding all the terrible office politics. I'm also not too shabby at negotiating contracts and would be more than happy to help if this is of concern as well.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like.
