I'm always seeing topics, where people are asking if anyone here goes to their school. So, I've decided to start one for everyone, to help find someone going to the same school you go to or plan on going to! You can include whether you've been accepted, still working on your pre-reqs or already in the program, as well as your pre-req GPA and TEAS/HESI score.:)
I'm taking my pre-requisites for nursing at Utah Valley Univeristy, i plan on applying for Fall 2013. Right now, i only have one pre-req finished so my GPA is a 4.0, after this semester i'm guessing it will be about a 3.7-3.8. In the Spring i'm taking anatomy, physiology, and psychology and i will be done with my pre-reqs. I haven't taken the TEAS test yet but will in the Spring. Also any tips for pre-reqs and for studying for the TEAS would be greatly appreciated.
I'm so excited to apply and hopefully get accepted!!:)
Any other pre-nursing/nursing students go ahead!

I am applying to LCC in the in Spring (March 1st deadline). All pre-reqs will be completed by December. Will know at the end of April whether I'm accepted into Fall 2013 or Spring 2014 cohort. If I don't get in at LCC, then I will take a few courses in the Spring & Summer and then apply to the BSN program at MSU. Once I'm done with my BSN, I plan on getting my Master's (P.A.) Thought about being a NP, but PA appeals to me more.
Pre-req GPA is currently 4.0. Taking 17 credits this semester and so far, still have a 4.0 going. Fingers crossed I can still maintain a 4.0. No TEAS or HESI required to apply to our program. Just a point-based system based on residency, pre-req GPA, volunteer hours and PCE hours. Last year's cut off for acceptance was 141. I should have 148 to 151 (depending on how many volunteer hours they give me credit for) by the time I apply. Hoping this will be enough to get in!!!
I feel like a "professional student" right now!!!

I was just accepted to the ADN program at The College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, NV! I start in Spring 2013 and I'm so happy and excited! I was taking prereqs part time since 2009 and had a decent (3.2) GPA. My TEAS score was 76%. That was definitely a hard test. I had to re-take it :/
That's funny, I was thinking about going on for my P.A after i get my bachelors, but now i'm deciding to go for NP. Awesome GPA by the way! Sounds like you'll definitely get in, good luck!

Great topic to start! I would love to find people who may be going to school with me.
Olivia, I bought this book off of Amazon, it's called "5 TEAS practice tests" by Mcgrall Hill. It has five tests in it to practice. Also, I had to brush up on my grammar and so on and I used this website English Worksheets VERY helpful if it's been a while.
I hope to attend The University of Central Florida, Cocoa, in January. Went for the interview on Tuesday and I should find out tomorrow if I actually got in.
Thanks msalba! Ill definitely look ini that book. Good luck! How did you prepare for your interview.

I start in janurary on my prereqs well my remidials then my prereqs. at IVTCC in fortwayne IN all out of pocket no loans maybe for the program Ill take out a loan but not the pre program courses. I have decided to do my LPN first because I dont want to over do it. If that makes sense. LPN school is less competitive than RN schooling plus Im a firm believer that every good RN was once and aide and/or LPN. I can get my LPN gain experience while going to a 4 year university for my RN. I wish you guys all the best of luck on your journeys :)
Good luck IdianaCNA1993!!
If anyone has any study tips for anatomy, or physiology they'd like to share, I'd really appreciate it! :)
